Romeo and Juliet
The HandleBards' Romeo and Juliet has been touring globally since 2016, delivering a fast-paced, silly, and heartbreak-filled adaptation of Shakespeare's classic. The production has evolved over the years and was the first showbrought back after COVID, with a slightly reduced cast of three actors. This energetic and playful version of Romeo and Juliet has traveled to countries like Germany, Serbia, India, Zimbabwe, Thailand, and Myanmar.
Lucy Green’s portrayal of Juliet (amongst other parts) stood out, ranging as it did from the innocent and naïve to full blown romping lust to tyrannical spoilt brat. And the seductive manner in which she dealt with our winsome young gent in the front row was comedic gold.
