I’m continuing to develop my drag persona, Luce Morality is THE KING  into a full hour long show. THE KING is a flamboyant, swaggering mockery of broken leadership systems and what happens when a person’s ego is allowed to run riot. He is simultaneously nasty and charming, powerful and vulnerable….dripping in entitlement and inflated grandeur. 

Drag allows me to bring together my visual imagination and my background in performance. I design and make THE KING’S costume myself, treating the visual identity as an extension of the character. It’s a fully integrated way of working where design, movement, humour, and story constantly inform one another. This project feels like a space where everything I care about can all sit together.
